Interior-wise go for it. Headlights are a no especially in these trucks. Unless you find some sort of aftermarket projector housing or build your own headlights. Otherwise everyone will hate you for blinding them

To add to this a little, the only aftermarket pre-made projector assemblies I've seen for these trucks (made by Spyder) are absolute garbage. Terrible fit and cut-off. The only truly correct looking HID installs I've seen on these have been the one or two people here that did full custom projector retrofits.

I appreciate all of the information, I guess people have been hating me for years then because I have had aftermatket HIDs in almost all of my cars and no one has ever said anything to me about being blinded nor do I get flashed. This all sounds alot like halogen lights the first few years manufacturers started using them. I remember people saying they hated them and they were too bright to look at for oncoming traffic. So much for getting an opinion from anyone that has used led headlight bulbs, they probably wouldn't post about it now. Well I will post my findings and my opinions on them when they get here. Hate me if you want too but I am just trying to clearly see down the dark roads and back streets as well as the dark off road trails. Someone already said they would throw ball bearings or rocks at me in another post if they saw my truck coming at them on the road with all of my lights on, lol. Those extra lights are mainly for trails so I guess some people miss the point. My truck is not a daily driver, although it could be. It is pretty much purpose built for trails/ mud fun and camping. I do drive it whenever I want and have been right behind police in intersections as well as facing police going the other direction in an intersection, so I am pretty sure if they were that bad or dangerous they would have let me know. Did I mention I live in Glendale, AZ and I have had a police officer tear an aftermarket license plate light off my car when my factory light stopped working because he said it emitted light to the rear of my vehicle. So they are not afraid to let people around here know when they don't like something or think it is unsafe and illegal. By the way the aftermarket license plate was a 90 degree light pointing down the face of my plate not facing rearward and I fought it in court and had it dismissed although my wiring was still jacked up since the cop literally ripped it of my car!

So this thead mainly talked about the LED Headlights. What are we thinking as far as the rest of the lights (interior, tails, and front turn/markers)? Does replacing these with the Anzo units and LED bulbs inside help to reduce the power consumption overall? Has anyone done that already (as far as a complete LED swap inside and out, excluding the headlights)?

I have seen several other projector headlight assemblies, even had a set on my truck before, they weren't Spyder headlamps, I prefer the broader light over projector for regular driving. I am also thinking it's possible that manufacturers might be making led and hid lights and designing them to work with existing housings. Possible maybe? I know aftermarket led headlights and HIDs are a huge market

Yes thank you PeteyG708. I was looking for opinions from those that had switched to led completely not just headlights.

Not possible at all to my knowledge. It's all about the filament location and orientation. Look at the filament on a standard halogen, and then compare that to an HID bulb or LED module. Totally different direction of the light based on how it's emitted and reflected.

This is a good read, and sums up the whole HID in a halogen reflector issue really nicely. Same principle as with LEDs, just different means of output once again. Filament, arcs, and diodes will all require different reflectors for sure.

I converted my whole interior to LED. I tried LED's in my stock headlight housings and they sucked worse than the halogens in my old faded headlights. The beam pattern was all screwed up and could never get them adjusted correctly. I then tried HID's (as my avatar shows). Those sucked balls as well. So, I bought new housings, went back to halogens and did the 4-hi mod. Plenty of light out front now. I also installed a 28" LED light bar on the brush guard. That plus the 4-hi mod gives me plenty of light when I'm out on the back roads or riding trails at night.

Ok, I got the led light bulbs in last night and installed them. I have not yet adjusted the headlights yet. They are pretty bright. As it stands now everything is led except for the front turn signals, had a base twist off one of the bulbs so until the replacement comes in those will stay incandescent. As you can see I also have the 4 hi headlight mod and it is definitely bright. And as with anything when take pictures of lights straight on, they almost always look extremely bright, I will have a friend take pictures from an oncoming lane situation to see how the pattern works for oncoming traffic.
