I was out and about today and ran across a set of H2 wheels and 315/70/R17 pro comp tires for 125 bucks . So of course I was all over that offer . My biggest question is will the tires fit or should I sell them ? My truck is a 1998 2500 there is no lower valance on the bumper and I am not afraid to crank the front up a little bit . Dont care to body lift but i am not afraid of buying new tires it was already on my list of thing to do in warmer weather..

I would be VERY surprised if you could make those tires fit.

They measure out to just over 34" and just under 12.5" wide.
I would say that you are correct after a nap and the use of a online tire calculator just to get a general Idea I am concerned about the width . To bad the tires have about 75% tread . Not a big deal . They was kinda bigger than I like to run anyways on a truck I tow and haul with alot. What would be a nice and comfy tire size to run on 17 inch rims ?

I ran a set of 315/70r17s on my 1/2 ton for a while. IIRC, with those wheels and a crank BARELY past level, they will clear fine.

Why not just try them?
we are going to but after all the snow and the thaw it is a mess at home driveway is falling through and my 2500 is loaded with a 1999 3500 I purchased ..And the garage is full my 62 galaxie is getting the tri power rebuilt . My dads granada is in there . my wifes chevelle is in there and the Ih 1100 pickup is missing the blower belt . Got to many projects going on or need a bigger garage.

Thats what I was hearing from some post I saw some where. If not Ill give them to some one who can run them . The H2 rims was my whole reason in buying them .
