Dude, my driver's side armrest keeps breaking. Like, this is the third one I've gone through. The mounting posts on the back suck pretty bad and keep snapping.

Anyone have a long term fix for this?

Can you post a pic? If its the plastic mounting holes on the armrest itself that are snapping you may be able to slip a small piece of aluminum flat stock between the weak part to act as a big "washer". I had a 94 that wasn't a beauty and I just slapped a big steal washer on the mounting screws to keep her from pulling off every time I shut my door lol.

Have you been using OEM or aftermarket? I work at a Chevy dealer doing online sales and people order these arm rests like crazy. I probably sell between 10-15 a month. I don't know if the OEM is better than the aftermarket or what. But they are pretty cheap on my site if you want some GM ones. Just let me know year and color and I'll hook you up with a better discount than whats on my site if you need them.

I use the gray armrests, thanks for the help. If you need a pic I can post one too. I think there are a couple different shades, no? What's your site? I'll PM you.

I got mine new off of Ebay and had to dye them to match. I ended up dying everything that was gray so it all matched because if you look there are like 3 shades of gray in these trucks.

The site is www.gmpartscheap.com we're out of New Hudson, MI but I can ship anywhere in the US. Some stuff is big bucks even with my discount but in this case the arm rests are fairly cheap. Let me know what year or send me the last 8 digits of your VIN and I can look them up that way. BTW if anyone needs any hard to find info you can PM me. I have access to the GM Snap-on catalog, all data, dealer only stuff, etc. I'd be glad to help out in any way I can.
