Was curious about possibly swapping a Northstar into my 94 Chevy, if there were any kits for them? I doubt it but doesn't hurt to ask.

I've also been interested in a turbo 4200 6 for it. I love the way they sound and it wouldn't be a huge departure from GM's history with straight 6s.

I come from the world of Fiero's where unique engine swaps are the norm. I'm sure either engine could get swapped without too much effort in a GMT400. I dont know what bellhousing pattern either has off hand but if they are standard chevy it would really just be finding the right flex plate/TC combo to work with your trans.

I rarely see anything unique being swapped into these trucks besides LS or Cummins. That's probably because these already come from the factory with 350's (easy 383) and 454's that can easily be swapped into trucks that have 4.3's or 305's using all factory wiring and related parts.

With Fiero's your dealing with 1980's small displacement tech so unique swaps are common because there is a significant power increase when swapping in something more modern.

Are there any Northstar motors left that haven't blown a head gasket?
This.

There are far better choices (like just about anything really) for a swap than a Northstar. Brand new they were underwhelming, and the horrendous reliability issue makes them a very poor candidate.

A turbo 4.2 would be interesting and different.
