This is what mine does in park at idle, nothing on (1st pic).
In park at idle, all 4 headlights, 4 LED Offroad lights, A/C fan on high, 16" Flexalite fan running, radio w/JBL amp & sub all on (2nd pic)

Wiring has been upgraded and the battery is an Optima Yellow Top.

Honestly, I can't remember if I had already upgraded the wiring before I put the Powermaster alternator on or not. I never had any charging problems, I added the Powermaster when I put the winch on my truck thinking at some point it would be needed.
I would check to see if the guage is reading accurately. When it's at idle with everything on and the guage is showing lower voltage, did you try and briefly rev up the engine ? Did the guage respond how it should?
Mine has been flawless other than 1 time I started the truck and noticed the voltage was low on the guage, revved it up and it jumped up to where it is in the pics. No idea what the issue was and it never happened again.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. There is not a single stock voltage gage on a GMT400 that i would trust as accurate. Verify the readings with a multimeter before you decide that you need anything. I'm upgraded past the big 3 upgrade and a 225A alternator. With no loads, just the engine running, my dash reads between 10-13V depending on how it feels that day, yet my alternator runs at 14.8V. It's pretty good at telling you your battery is dead, it's really bad at telling you exact system voltage.

^^^^My 99 Tahoe is fairly inaccurate. Weirdly the 97 Van is dead accurate. Van is pretty accurate on oil pressure, temp and voltage. Gas gauge on the other hand tells me it is empty with 8-10 gallons left in the tank. Tahoe has an accurate gas gauge. With the factory gauges you win some and you lose some, lol.

If I rev it the guage goes back up no issues.

Yeah I know my guage is no Rolex lol. However it's not so much on what its reading it's what its doing. The guage is showing a load with everything on. If I turn everything off it goes back up to the middle or even past it a little. I guess I'm just asking if I swap the wires to a bigger guage would it help the power not show of do such a drastic pull. Looking at the wire going back to the alternator looks so small lol

I dont think my guage is too far off. When my battery died it showed how dead it was. I how ever i dont necessarily go by what it's reading, I look at where its pointing. Mostly because I dont know how to read it lol. Is it supposed to be 9 /10/ 14/ 15/ 19? Lol

The guage would read 9, 11.5, 14, 16.5, 19.
