I'm going to convert my 95 2wd to 6 lug and lift it, I know I need a z71 rearend and I found a z71 Tahoe that's being parted out, is the rearend exactly the same as a z71 1500? Like saddle location and width so I can just bolt it up to my truck?

I believe a Tahoe 4x4 rear axle is the same, but I don't believe the axle has to be from a Z71. Every 1500 4x4 has the same rear end (lug and width wise). But, word of advice, while you're trying to find a 4x4 rear end for your conversion, look for a 6 lug 14 bolt axle instead of the more common 10 bolt axle. They're much stronger and you'll thank yourself.

Yup there is nothing special it different about a z71 rearend. Like said if looking for an upgraded rear end then find a 1/2 ton with the f44 root code and it will have the 6 lug 9.5" 14 bolt.

One difference is that the Tahoe rear will probably have a rear sway-bar, correct guys?

I'm not so sure about this with our OBS years.... I know this is true for newer ones because of the coil spring rear suspension but I think only Suburbans had rear sway bars for our years. I could be wrong though.

6 lug 14 bolts also came in light duty 2500's but they're most prevalent in 1500's with the F44 package since light duty 2500's seem to be pretty rare.
