It's nice to know if you're getting 9 and everyone else is getting 18 lol

Bingo, that's what I was thinking. lets me know if I have an issue somewhere I need to find or not if I am below the average of everyone else.

feel like the poll should at least have specified gear ratio, the poll looks like it shows how many guys have shallow or deep gears and the few guys with big blocks, still fun to see where you stand with our trucks!............for me, depends on winter and summer blend fuel, and warming up with high idle switches in the winter, i get 11-12 mpg in the winter and 12.5-13.5 in the summer.....pretty good with 4.10 gears, chip, big turbo, big injectors, 9" of lift, sunvisor, and 37" tires that weigh 120lbs each! best fuel milage of any lifted truck ive ever had......love the 6.5 turbo diesel!

11-12 in town, 15ish on the highway if I drive 65 and 12-13 if I do 75 or 80. I check the mileage each time, out of habit since that's how you tell on the old carburetor jeeps when it's time for a tune up or carb rebuild, ha ha ha.

Ill get about 13mpg now after the lift. That's going 65mph on the highway ( mixed with city too ) So I don't expect much more than that.

So I have a 97' Suburban K2500 7.4l, 195k miles, max towing setup, i get 11.5mpg running from Cleveland to Cincinnati with maybe 2 stops running 75mph. I get that same 11 running around town, and it might drop to 10.5 pulling my 4800lb boat at 65mph, but really the engine/transmission doesn't seem to know there's a boat back there the truck just hums along without much effort.

98 C-1500 2WD, 5.7 Vortec, 3.73 rear gear. In town, cold weather, I get 12.5 mpg (14 Imperial). Not thrilled, can't wait to do a check on the highway, and in warmer weather.

My test was for two tanks, about 770 kilometres.

I've still got a little over an 1/8 tank in my 98 SCLB 4x4. I'm showing 310 mi. on the trip meter with mixed driving. Pretty sure I have the 26 gallon tank.
I'm really liking the 3.42's and the OD trans. 1750 rpms at 65 mph.:) Oh yeah, I don't have the 5.7 Vortec, mines a 5.0. Runs good, not the most powerful thing on the planet buts that's ok.
My 75 GMC Camper Special 2WD gets like 8 on the highway, so I'm calling my recent purchase of my 98 a win.

10-13 city with some highway. Last tank was around 8.5 all city.

Have done a bunch of work to it though, and it's still torn apart in my garage. We'll see after all is said and done. Desperately needed a tune-up and a few fixes after I got it (which was just recently).

Hoping it'll improve a gallon or two by the time I'm done giving it some TLC, lol.

96 Silverado vortec 5.7 3:73 gears factory tire size, if I run all highway at 75mph I get 16mpg if I run it 70mph I can squeeze 16.5 to 17.5mpg. Mixed driving I average 14 to 15mpg. Winter driving mixed with idle time I get 13 to 14. Towing my camper all loaded up about 4600lbs 3rd gear 65 to 70mph I get 10.5 to 11.5 consistently.
