Definitely not factory. Could be a valet switch for an old alarm system, although those are usually a little more hidden.

At some point it had a remote start so maybe it’s related to that. If I flip it off and back on again, something under the dash clicks 3 times

Have you tried flipping it with the truck running?

Yep! Nothing happens, just those same 3 clicks that it does if the engine is off.

So I found out what was making smoke. This random wire was going into the ORN port and it was grounded to one of the interior bolts. After pulling it out, it was wrapped around another wire that is wrapped around the rear view mirror... wtf

Probably someone hung a dedicated power wire for a radar detector, or maybe dash cam.
