towing with larger tires?

Okay i have a 1994 chevy 1500 regular cab short box 4x4 with a manual transmission, along with 3.42 gears. I would like to put a set of 285s under my truck, but im concerned on how bad it will affect my acceleration just driving around and towing. Has anyone ran 285s with a stock tbi and 3.42 gears? I would love any input please!

You are not saying which engine you have....The larger your tire, the more it will affect the torque needed for towing.....If you have a 350 or 454, shouldnt be a problem.....a 4.3 or 305 would be another story
