Wasn't there someone with a cepek lift on 37s an stock rims. I think the truck was black?

Yeah there was. A lot of ppl worry about putting to wide of a tire on to narrow of a rim but there's really no harm in it. Now you want to keep your air pressure pretty low so you don't wear out the center of the tire.

I meant will a 285/75/16 fit good on a stock height stock rim truck? I plan to lift 9 inches but that won't be for awhile. So since I need new rubber now would the 285 be good? I'm new to the whole off road scene and wheels and tires. I still want to be be able to flex a little but be taller than stock rubbers.

They will fit fine, this is mine when I bought it. Stock on 285 75 16
