Plus some trucks over here in cali have a evap pump for smog right there.
That makes sense, since the evap. canister box is there. Right in the way of getting to the left front brake hose nut and bracket where it goes into the hard line. You can't really get to it well from the wheel well or underneath, but if that box wasn't in the way, you could go straight down to the nuts. I couldn't get everything lined up in the bracket, so I got the hose and hard line tightened together and zip tied it up to the bracket, making sure it wasn't in a bind. Sometimes redneck engineering is what works.....

Makes sense mines a 98. But that's awesome. I'm sure my dad just wanted the suburban and didn't care about what all came optional
I think I've read on here that 97 was the last year for them. But they will fit the 98-2000 trucks as long as they are 400s.

Funny story. I bought new box and lid from lmc. Had it a few years and it started to crack on the sides. Duct tape and glued it back together and kept it. Had my accident. It got crushed and I bought a gm one from the junk yard . So far holding together Better

On the stock 193 heads... The rocker arm studs are 7/16". correct?
