Oh. Ok. I love mine too much lol.
Yes the antique vehicle registration in Texas is mileage limited. The idea is to have license plates so you can drive it to car shows and in parades. Classic car and truck plates,as far as I know, aren't mileage limited. Once your vehicle turns 25, you're eligible for them, for an extra fee. Don't think it's too high though. If my Burb can make it to 25 I'm getting them!
And yes I'd like to have a 383, but the lottery hasn't landed in my lap yet LOL!

To my knowledge. Soon as it hits 25 years old. Your vehicle no longer needs to be emissions compliant. Check engine light and miscellaneous things with the exhaust will no longer affect passing or not. They will do a safety inspection. I believe it's a lot cheaper like $10. And all they would check his tires lights wipers belts brakes and signals

This varies by state, honestly. In my state, they changed it 3/4 of the way through 2009 so that only 1975 and older classifies as a classic/collector vehicle. It used to be 25+ plus years before they randomly changed the law.

I could see that. But texas hasn't done that yet. Gonna keep my fingers crossed:) I would hate for them to do that
