Switch Panel in a 88 k1500

so first post here although ive been surfing the site for weeks,

ive designed up a switch panel to go in the stock stereo location in the dash (i have an aftermarket already)

has anyone done this? any idea how to mount? should i buy a dash pocket and mount it to that somehow?

ive attached a picture of what i have designed so far!

5 1/4" x 2 7/8" that's the inside of the pocket like the open area
