Rclb parking brare cable not hooking up

I have a 1994 chevy k2500 and the parking brake cable on the drivers side will not reach the swivel nut piece that connects the passenger side and then to the cable from the front. I had made an extension piece before but when I put rear brakes on I had to try to take apart my extension and it broke. I believe I'm going to have to make a new one but I can't remember the thread size on the cable from drivers rear. Any help would be great
