Milage will vary for every truck depending on mileage, mods, drivetrain, driving style, etc... so basing what you should get on what someone else says they get doesn't mean much. All I'm saying is that for a 5.7 Vortec ext cab truck 12 mpg is not unheard of and probably pretty normal
