First off, sorry for all the questions (whether they are Stupid or whatnot) Like I said I am knew to subs and just want to get it right the first time. Please bear with me.

I just bought some subs off of my roommate this weekend. Included:

2 Pyramid Artic amps
http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/sku/Pyramid_Car_Audio/Speaker_Amplifier/PCAPB717X.html
The amps are run in a "master and slave" set up

Each amp is bridged to a sony xplod 10" XS-L1037
The subs:
4-layer Voice Coil
Gold Plated Binding Posts
Optimized for Small/Medium Enclosures
800w Peak Power
200w RMS
4 ohm

I know this is not a high quality set up but they will work as a beginners set up for me. I wanted some more depth in my sound system and these came up pretty cheap. Also, I heard them in my roommates car and they did not sound too bad. I listen to mostly country and rock but every once in a while I listen to other music so I think these will be a good addition to my truck.

Ok, so to the questions.
1)What type of wiring kit do I need to get? (guage and brand?)

2)Has anyone made a custom box for an extended cab that fits under the seat and have the dementions or plans layin around for it?

3)I have searched the internet and I can not find out how much room these subs need inside the inclosure, If anyone has these and has the manual I would
appreciate if you would let me know?

4)Last and finally, I think I am going to completely rewire the subs and the amps so anyone have suggestions the best way to do this?

Thank you for all your help in advance.

the amp/sub wiring kit walmart has is pretty good, i would get the 4 gauge one that way when upgrade u will already have the right size. and IIRC those are rated for 1.0 cu ft box but dont hold me to it. xplods are good as long as u dont overpower them .

Brand doesn't matter a whole lot for a beginner system, price DOES!!! The wally world kits are overpriced, but if you go that route, get one rated to handle your MAX/peak power....this way any discrepencies in the kit will not hinder the functioning of your system. I agree, a 4gauge kit will be what you'll wanna look for, the reason i said power, is because I know wally world kits are rated in watts instead of wire gauge.

2)Has anyone made a custom box for an extended cab that fits under the seat and have the dementions or plans layin around for it?
I haven't, but you'll be needing to delete your tire-changing kit to put a full-length underseat box back there. Here's the brand of pre-fabs I usually recommend to people for underseat installs: This is their fancier line: http://www.atrendusa.com/atrend/veh...page=flypage.tpl&product_id=50&category_id=23 ......and this is their economy line: http://www.atrendusa.com/bbox/vehic...age=flypage.tpl&product_id=182&category_id=58

I know the 12" versions require 1.0cuft of useable space in a sealed enclosure and 1.5cuft in a ported enclosure. Taking that into consideration, I would say the 10" could get away with as little as .8 in a sealed and prolly 1.35 in a ported.

4)Last and finally, I think I am going to completely rewire the subs and the amps so anyone have suggestions the best way to do this?
Ok, your amp's description says "Total watt output at 4 ohms"....if you're bridging the 2x 2-ohm stable channels per amp, then ofcourse you're gonna be stable at 4-ohms then. With your amps strapped together like you said, you'll bridge each amp individually to create 4-ohm stability, then wire each sub to it's own amp. According to the manual for those subs, they seem to be single voice coil models, so there's no other way to wire them unless you literally strap your amps to double the available power........and I doubt very seriously that those amps support "true" strapping. They prolly only support master/slave strapping, which is considered limited strappability.

If you have any more questions or concerns, ask away.

Thanks for all the help and unless these blow up I think they will stay in my truck for the long haul because they will do what I need them too.
(Above Thinking is subject to change without warning:D)

I think I will be buying a wiring kit off amazon.com
Any input on any of these?

It may be pricey, but at the minimum, I would get the rockford fosgate wiring kits. Most of those cheaper kits are false gauge kits, meaning they use thinner wire with thicker insulation to pass it off as thicker wire. A general rule of thumb with those brands is if you need say an 8ga kit, that you should purchase one of their 4ga kits.
