New to d44's couple questions

So im collecting parts for my sas, i have a dana 44 hp out of a 79 ford, but it is 8 lug, i know it cn be converted to 6 lug but unshure wht parts have to be changed..


Also how do i remove the steering arm? I have the nuts off but it wont come off

You will need everything from the knuckles out, spindles, rotors, hubs, outer shafts, etc from a chev d44 or corp 10 bolt and buy a aftermarket flat top passenger side knuckle.

The steering arm is a pita to remove, takes a lot of heat, hammering with a big sledge for 20-30 min.

I got mine and the steering arm from partsmike.com. Plenty of places sell them, just be sure to order one for a corp 10 bolt since the tie rod taper is opposite of that on the d44.
