Need to know Bed Sizes

I own an extended cab and I THINK it has the same bed size as the shortbed single cabs, is this correct? Are there only Shortbed and Longbed? or does Extended cab have it's own bed size? If it is shortbed, would I be able to throw on a stepside from any GMT400 easily?

Regular cab short beds and extended cab short beds are the same 6.5 foot bed and yes you can put a stepside on one. thz71 HAD a 1995 extended cab stepside, until he scrapped it

It's gonna be a 6.5 (standard bed) used on majority of the trucks, long bed is usually 8+ feet

Easy swap but make sure that you get the fuel neck for the stepside bed.

88-98 and some 99 and 00 all have interchangeable beds, long, and short/stepside
