Just an air raid cold air intake, shortie headers, punched cat and a free flowing exhaust system. Wanting to do the blaDE mod, e fans and a waitforme tune.
You got a write up for either mod?E-fans was of the best mods I ever did to my S10. Dual speed 3.8 Taurus fans are popular for these trucks. I used some off a mid 90's Z28. It would stay perfectly cool on a 100* day and keep the ac ice cold. It pulled a crazy amount of air over the radiator.
Another thing that made a massive improvement was putting on a Flaming River steering shaft joint in place of the sh!tty rag joint. Made it drive like a different truck.
Thanks man, what about the steering jointSo here are a few things for S-10's I've done I think are worth bookmarking...
You will need this link because (especially the ZR-2's for some reason) your motor mounts are probably already broken. Especially if you ever use 4lo. lol If you replace the motormounts, be sure to use Energy Suspension. Otherwise they'll break again right away, and when they do, your 4.3 will try to jump out of the engine bay. My fan ate up 3 fan shrouds because of this. LOL If you're not sure - leave the hood up, but it in 4lo, drive, and hold the brake while giving it some gas. It'll look like the engine is going to jump out of the truck.

Here's some descent reading on e-fans. I know there are a couple threads I've seen where people did detailed installs, but I can't seem to find them. The most popular swaps are Taurus 3.8 fans or 88-92 Camaro fans. I used a '96 Z28 fan but they pull some wicked amps on startup. I'll see if I can find some pics of mine.

You can have the fans controlled by the ECM, but that requires a tune from Wait4me or something. I always wanted to go this route but never got around to it.

A lot of people hate them, but I ended up using one of these. It was supposed to be temporary (they have a rep for failing) but I ended up running it for something like 3-4 years and it was fine.

Since my fans pulled some nasty amps, ran two separate relays and also ran a breaker for each one like these. Again, these were meant to be temporary (had them laying around at work so I just used them) but ended up running em forever.

You can also use breakers you have to manually reset. This was what I intended on doing.

IIRC, you can wire your 2nd fan to your A/C by just running a hot wire from the plug in the top of your A/C compressor to open a relay that turns your fans on.
I'm sure there is more I will think of... But I just got to work and am still waking up. lol
