My first GMT400

Hey guys,

Here is my truck and it is my first GMT400. It's a 1997 Chevy Silverado z71 the truck has a 350 and is a automatic with a manual transfer case. so far I love everything about it. THe only thing that is a quirk is that the gas gauge doesn't work hardly at all. the truck shows 3/4 of a tank when it is empty. Other than that though and the a/c not working everything thing else is great! here are some pics and comments are welcomed.

welcome to the GMT400 world! I like the color looks like a solid truck to work with! Defiantly would change the mirrors to one kind of mirror instead of two seperate kinds haha

I am guessing it is from 88-94 truck. That is on my to do list of things to fix! I have few things that I have planned to do in the near future!

Nice looking truck. And yes, those different mirrors do stand out a bit.

AC is always fun to play with. Hopefully it's just in need of a recharge. The gas gauge issue sounds like either the gauge is bad or the sending unit is bad. If a wire was open it would read past full or past empty depending on if its a ground or power wire

The mirrors are first on my list and then refurbishing the truck lil by little. Thanks you guys for all the comments

Welcome! The bird poop would bother me more than the mirrors! Lol!
I have to strategically park in my driveway to avoid that! Damn flying poop machines seem to wait til I just finish washing it!
