My 91 GMC Sierra Dually Build

Ok, where do I start, Last november My son picked up a 91 GMC Sierra SLE Club Coupe Dually. converted to 6.5 Turbo Diesel. It needed a lot of work. Besides all the rust it needed the brakes at the back completly redone fron the frame out.
The 8ft box was a disaster... so picked up another box and took it to the sandblaster.... Here are the beginning pictures of hopefully many more till its on the road.... First 2 pics taken November 22 when the ruck first rolled in.

Above pics are the graphics I am going to try and reproduce below are the box after taking the fenders off Pic of my Grand Daughter under the dash trying to get that elusive door motor screw out (start em young I say !!) And the 6 inch touch screen installed (got tired of doing body work)

Does anyone know where I can get the Stainless Band across the tailgate ? LMC has the Chevrolet one but not GMC. Any help appreciated !!

They're long discontinued unfortunately, and no one is making a reproduction of the GMC versions that I'm aware of. Here's a diagram with the applicable factory part numbers, but good luck finding them.

Best bet might be to find a tailgate with one if that’s even possible. And tape it off and paint the rest to match

Question for the gentlemen in the know.. Other than buying a parts truck, where can I get the combination rear cab mount/bow mount... the piece on mine is rotted pretty bad

Not sure if your mounts are different, but I had the same problem when restoring my 91 C2500. Since I was adding plates to suuport the frame, I made my own. Instead of the combo, I fabricated independent mounts for the bed and cab. Lots of work, but it was fun.
