its a fuse holder for a 300amp fuse. its to protect the wire from an over charge and possible burning the wire. if it gets an over charge it will pop the fuse and then charge the batt though the original wireing. i left all the original wireing there for safty purposes. and i did all of this for the 1500 watt amp and two twelves in the back seat.

ok little update i got a new job so now the truck is a dd no more work truck. heres a money shot of it

planning to redo the exhaust first. im going to put the headers on it with a 3" y pipe. then the rest of the pipe is already 3" with a hi flow cat. gonna replace the muffler with a cherry bomb extream single in dual outs and have the tips dump out the sides before the rear wheels and about level with the frame.

Looking good! That truck was too pretty to be a work truck anyway...
For the exhaust do you mean 3" pipe from the headers into a Y and then into the cherry bomb? If that's what you mean, I would suggest going with smaller pipe after the headers to get better velocity. Something like 2.25" or 2.5" in 3" out like this http://www.summitracing.com/parts/MPE-10778/

thinking about losing the steps just havent decided yet. im wanting to go with a bigger midpipe like this one http://www.summitracing.com/parts/BIG-11504YFLT/. nice part is whatever i get from summit i can drive a block away from work and im there
