JOE GIBBS SWAP

Hello all needing a little input on my 90 rcsb Silverado. I've got a chance to buy an 04 Joe Gibbs supercharged engine and tranny complete with ecm and harness. Suppose to make like 420hp I was told. My question is, has anyone done this swap before in our trucks and what all is involved. Thanks for any help with this.

What engine is it based off of?

Or is it like literally one of the race engines that has a sc on it?

The swap will be exactly like every other 5.3 swap. Yours just has more power

There were some N/A Gibbs trucks, but the one he's talking about is a supercharged 5.3.
I'd kinda forgotten about those trucks. I've read HP was around 425hp, but I've also read 395hp/425tq. Either way I bet they were fun little trucks!

You're probably right.

I even loved the Regency RST silverados. I haven't seen one of those in forever
