Just use a balljoint press if you have one thats what I use. Its pretty easy I was scared of it the first time I did it but after the first one its easy. Also I never hear anyone say they use an air hammer with a pointed chissle on it. I always use one go from the back side on the crossmember threw the hole and give it a few hits should come right out.
