You have to be obd2 for the full feature one to work. A compass/temp only model will work in anything...

If you're running the TPI with a 411 ECM (as you should be), yes, it will work.

I've installed one of these in my 99 tahoe with the 5.7 vortec, as of now it illuminates but i've no speed temp or fuel readings. Is this just because i don't currently have the temp sensor connected yet? i've wired it according to the diagrams in the first post but no readings as of yet.

sorry nvm it was a defective unit, swapped it out with another and it works. I tapped the temp sensor from my mirror and everything is great!

yup.

But the early temp and compass model only.

No engine info like DTE, MPG, trip, etc....

94 is OBDI and doesn't support the later DIC's.

I've put one in my 98 K1500 and wondered if anyone knows of a way to re-calibrate the DIC to account for the larger gas tank.

No I don't but if you find a way let us know, it would be nice for it to have accurate info....
