HIR Headlight bulbs. Loose those HID's!

/\ HIR's. Check the distance past the second light pole that the HIR's illuminate!

According to these pictures, the HIRs scatter TONS of light up above the beam, and are far worse than HIDs could ever dream of being.

i call BS on those pics, it looks like low beams in one and low and high in the other. Anyway, i switched a month or so ago and the HIRs look stock but a little brighter and whiter. Heres my thread with pics http://www.gmt400.com/forum/showthread.php?23658-HIR2-bulb-pics

I mean sewlow was the one that posted them, and he was the one bragging on the HIRs.

What it LOOKS like, is a truck with 4hi, HID lows in the first picture, and then HID lows + HIR highs in the second picture.

I was just pointing out that that according to the pictures he posted, they're terrible. I've never used them though, so I don't know if his pictures are accurate.

But the way I see it, before buying HIRs and headlights with glare caps, you'd be better off just retrofitting projectors and HIDs. It can be done with the good projectors for around $150, plus that's Bixenon.

I'd really like to see a REAL side by side comparison. Halogen, HID, and HIR.
