Resident Junkman
Hello everyone, I’m sure most of you know me and my truck but it’s a little known fact that I have a little brother who just started his sophomore year in high school and is looking at buying his first vehicle. Of course, I’m trying to get him into a GMT400 so I can help him work on it if/when it breaks down so I found a nice little ‘94 C1500 W/T RCLB with a 4.3L in it for a very, very cheap price. The truck runs and drives, but it doesn’t look perfect by any means.
I’m hoping this turns into a project him and I get to do so we can spend more time together, and I’m trying to line up some mods and ideas for him. One of the main ones is a lowering option, as he doesn’t share the same love for lifted trucks that I do. I’ve noticed the truck has a noticable rake, and thought that a set of 2” lowering shackles only in the rear should level the truck out a bit. Would that be a correct way of thinking? Definitely not trying to slam the truck, but still want to give him a level look since he’s never going to tow/haul anything anyways lol.
Looking forward to making another build/revival thread on his truck too!
