New here and new to this aspect of working on these trucks. I recently purchased a 96 Z71 and I want to rebuild the front suspension and steering. I’ve seen a lot of kits online with varying numbers of parts and I was Wondering if anyone here would be willing to outline a complete list of components I’d need to purchase.

I want The truck to stay “stock” and obviously I’d like to go with MOOG parts. I just Don’t know what I dont Know basically and I want To make sure I hit everything while I’ve got it torn down and taken apart.

Any help would be greatly appreciated I’m just making sure I don’t miss anything when ordering parts.

The post right above your post is a good place to start.

AC Delco Pro
or
Moog Problem Solver parts are recommended mostly.

Lots of info on this forum. Only 5 pages back and you can find lots of info.... Like this one.

Lots more out there........

FYI:
-Upper ball joints/bushings (riveted or bolted)
-Lower control arms
(SOME upper or lower arms are already loaded with balljoints/bushings)
-Tie rod ends
-Pitman arm (maybe)
-Idler arm/bracket
-Center link ... some say it isn't a wear item
-Unit bearings

Anyone else have any re commendations ?
