Hi all,

I had the pleasure today of discovering the driver side front axle seal leaking differential fluid on my '97 K1500. Looking at ordering axle seals from Rockauto, I see there are two different designs with different dimensions. My question is: how do I tell the difference without tearing the axle apart? I want to order tonight and start working on it later this week. If need be, I'll just order both...

It looks like those are the rear axle seals, underneath the part name it says "Rear, 4WD" 8.5 would be the 10 bolt and 9.5 would be the 14 bolt SF

For the front I think there are only the 8.25 and 9.25 diffs and if yours is a 1500 I believe it would be the 8.25
