Flip kit / shim for carrier bearing?

I bought a used flip kit and it does not seem to have the shim for the carrier bearing that is needed on extended cabs. Does anyone sell this part separate or can I do without it?

I got mine from the local spring guys. Cheap. IIRC GMT400's need 2.5 inch" wide.

Hey, new guy here, I just installed a 4/6 with a flip kit on my 95 sierra ecsb. I didnt know anything about needing a shim...the kit didnt come with one. What exactly is the shim for? What will it hurt not having one? Thanks for the info
