Did you check to make sure the heads and deck were flat? If they arnt flat youll have a hard time getting it to seal up good.

probabley going to buy a used head on Thursday. might goto dealer and see how much they want for a new/rebuilt. not too sure yet!

picked this up today, came with a set of headers that I'm not sure I'm gonna use. Complete rebuild but I'm just gonna use the heads for now, not sure what I'm going to do with the short block yet.

i was hoping to, but it all worked out in the end, the TBI 350 was very low km and was a propane truck. was very clean.

Many decades ago, I helped tear down an engine from a zamboni, super clean as well. Combustion chamber and valves looked like the engine had just been put together.
