The newer trucks is 96 until you tune it out. No clue about the older trucks

My 88 would run 120mph by GPS. The speedo only registered like 85 but it kept goin and never shut off. My 98 cuts off at 98 oddly enough

Some governors are in the transmission.

I know for sure '94 trucks have a fuel cutoff at 100 mph, it'll hit it in 3rd gear if its an auto. I hit it on a dyno.

My 95 would cut fuel at 100mph, it also wouldn't shift into 4th at WOT. Not anymore though, lol.
