Computer speed limit

Does anyone know what the computer speed limit is on a 91 350tbi

Don't know about '91's, but I would think that it would be the same as the later trucks. 99/100 mph.
Just me, but that's a question I'd have to go 'find' the answer to! Hehe!

I doubt TBI trucks have a limiter...
Never mind, it's 100 mph. My jet chip deleted it I guess.

I read the ecu cuts out injectors at 100 mph.
Not sure I believe this, TBI is so dumb.

Its 160KM/H, thats all I know. I GPSed it and at 160, it cuts my injectors. Worst feeling ever.

My truck is a '94 TBI with the 4L60E.

It depends on the year. I think 87-91 tbi trucks are not speed limited. somewhere between 92 and 93 they started doing this. I know a 94 shuts down at 100 mph. I think this was done when they changed from the 700r4 trans to the 4l60e. Correct me if i am wrong about the year.

I know on the 1993 Caprice I had ( ex-police car ) with a TBI, the digital speedo displayed 198 km/hr... and at that speed I was passed by a crew cab 3/4 ton.

Not sure what the speed limit is on the trucks with TBI though. My vortec will do 160 km/hr on the limiter.

All I can tell ya is my 98 TD HAD a speed limiter of 96 mph....
