Well, it's about time I started one of these, and quit using the chat thread as my build log... Here's some pics for a start.

The 3rd brake light was a hack job, the wiring is no where near a plug and play kind of thing. I had to cut into the sheet metal for it to fit, and even then it didn't turn out too great up close... I'll toss up some pics of it after I go to get a filler plate made for it.

Looks like :dancingpoop: right? Haha.

Yeah, finally moved out of the basement.... And I finally feel like I've done enough to it to warrant its own thread. Up until now its just been little stuff that hasn't been, in my opinion, worth starting a log over... Hopefully paint will be soon, then wheels and tires. After that I'll probably do a 2/4 static drop to make it sit nicely on the new socks and shoes.

The HID's throwing heat has not been an issue, go stick your hand over a factory housing with regular bulbs in it and turned on.

I'm too tired to post the 65 new pics tonight (3:20 am here...) but here is the link to the whole album if you see this before I get back in here and post them up tomorrow.

By the way we got finished tonight, and got the hidden hitch fabbed up and welded in tonight as well...

Driver side welded up.

Die grinder was the only thing we could get in there... my hands are full of little metal shards today, good thing I'm not going through the airport any time soon...

Sexy Time.

Metal got paper thin over there, had to add some sheet metal behind it to have something to weld to...

Colt's pup, little turd is scared of just near everything, doors were open and she kept coming back in and plopping down on that drop cloth.

Truck looks naked.

Still naked. We braced the frame with the hitch and some legs off of it, you'll see the hitch later, it slides right inside the frame rails.

Heres a little bit of a panoramic of all the crap that we have laid out for/from this project...

Now I'm glad I didn't remove the molding before now, there was previous damage and bodywork found under the passenger door molding...

I'm not too shabby when it comes to welding thick material.

Heres the hitch primed and ready to get burnt into the truck.

Well thats it, what do you guys think, I get a good start?
I might have to try to get a new tailgate skin, Sir Michaels sells one already shaved, so if I can get that without a $135 freight fee Ill be serious about it and try to have it soon as well.

Thank ya sir, it was our first time doing sheet metal work, and it was interesting to say the least.
