I figured and resisted the temptation to respond.

Did you ever catch his TV show that he did late in his career? Mid 90's, it was surprisingly good. A weird and somewhat awkward premise but I still found it entertaining. This was right about the time I had given up on TV in general and not long after, I disconnected my cable and never bothered getting it again. I was an early "cord cutter" I guess you could say.
