Thanks. 4 footers are a bit tall for my taste, not to mention they wouldn't fit in my garage. If I had a short box I'd want to have a toolbox like yours, I don't like how the raised ones look on a short box.

ok I think I've narrowed it down. 2 black 3' firestick 2's for the antennas...

I have a cobra 25 ltd classic and I get about 10 miles average range with a cheapo generic truck stop antenna and the coax it came with, but results will very and I have a good ground straight to the frame for it. The extra space from the raised toolbox is nice. I have one 4' firestik 2 I should try out one time just to see. Also a word of warning, hardly anyone is ever on the cb most of the time.

that's fine by me. I'd hardly ever talk. Just listen on long trips to college.

Alright. The nice thing about the 29 over the 25 is the built in swr meter so you can tune the antenna to a point (nothing like a full blown tuner but it's fine for anything you would do) and not burn up the radio

You may need a noise filter, depending on where you get power from. I have acceleration whine in the speaker, also I can't use my HID lights and the cb at the same time, massive static! I have a filter, just haven't installed it yet...

And thanks for the compliment ;)

no problem ;) besides all the black crap on the bottom :p, I want mine to look like yours someday

I don't have HID's and I'd probably just get power form the cigarette lighter.
