Shouldnt be welded in, i believe that as you tighten the screw it pulls up against the bottom of the roof skin of your truck, it may just need pryed out

what he said. i took a set off a factory truck and it has like clips in the roof kinda like whats in roof that holds the console in if youve ever taken that out. idk what they are called though the name has slipped my mind. when i installed mine i just used sheet metal screws not the best but havent had any probelms in a year

Be careful. It depends on the year, but the earlier trucks use a riveted style well nut (it's round), the later ones use a nut clip (square) so you should be able to tell the difference. The round ones aren't something you can just pry out.

Also, lets try to refrain from using OBS NBS and NNBS, it's going to get out of hand. GMT400, GMT800 and GMT900 are proper terms that aren't going to be confusing in later years.

Has anyone installed the GMT900 LED lights on one of these trucks yet? I found a sweet ebay deal and picked up a set of the recon smoked ones for $40 and cant decide if i want to sell them to a friend or put them on my truck.. I think they would look good but pics before i destroy my roof and dont like it would be great lol

Well I took my chances today and put on the new cab lights. Ill upload a pic once im home later. There very clean looking:)

Let me know what you think!! I have a feeling this is something a lot of people are going to like. Ive never been a huge fan of cab lights but love these. I like how there small and sporty
