Okay, since so many people want to know the inside joke, I'll go over it. This is a very long winded story, so sorry if it gets confusing.
Basically, I started my schooling to become a certified mechanic in September 2015. As part of that schooling, I had to choose a place to do OJT (on-the-job training) - naturally I chose the GM dealer just down the road from my house. I did 3 weeks of full-time training there in November 2015, at which point I was offered a contract position as an apprentice mechanic during my evenings and weekends. Co-incidentally, my dealership was sold and bought in the beginning of November 2015 by a young business man from New Brunswick, who goes by the name Adam Toner. He has a lot of experience with GM dealerships, as his dad and uncle both own at least one each. His uncle's dealership is Toner GM in Grand Falls, New Brunswick, which also happens to be where my truck was originally leased in 96, and sold to a private owner in 98.
I think you can probably see where this is going by now - my truck has Toner GM decals on the tailgate and both front fenders. So when I got offered a job, and quickly started rising the ranks (I was an apprentice mechanic getting to do the same diagnosis work as the shop foremen by January), people decided to pick and tease, saying I just brown nosed my way in. Part of that was a little line my now "best-colleague" made up; "OHHHHH ADAM, I love you so much. I put a sticker with your name on my truck!" said in a really high pitched voice. That got around the shop a fair bit and it was and still is pretty funny. But now I've been promoted again, to service controller. I am basically in charge of all the guys who I used to work beside. People asked about it, so as a joke I just said; "I love ****." with a straight face.
Now the rooster comes into play. My buddy got a single decal made up of a tiny rooster - it was like 1" by 1" and stuck it on my toolbox at work. I told him I'd make him regret it and messaged Paul about some rooster decals. Obviously rooster stands for ****. We decided as a group that actually putting "I love" before the rooster would probably get us fired, so we just chose the rooster alone. Now that I got the rooster decals, I put one on the guy's car who put the first one on my box, haha. It's just a funny way to have a good time.
