I had this idea a week ago, but after going through a mudhole and getting my cargo area covered with mud water, it sounds even better. What do you guys think if I cut the carpet out of the back and sprayed bedliner?

yeah i would imagine it would be pretty loud inside after doing something like that. if you ride in the bed of a truck you will notice that. but its closed off from the cab of the truck so its not noticeable.

If I were you, this is how I would do it:

1. Take the seats out.
2. Take the carpet out.
3. Bedline the whole interior floor pan.
4. Dynomat.
5. Put carpet or vinyl floor back in.
6. Reinstall seats.

But that's just me.
