98 k1500 will start but won't run

It could be, but he had a bad pump, changed it, and now has this problem, so I'm guessing something happened on the install.

I've had the brittle wires snap on me twice now on fuel pump installs.

So is that why you prefer using house wiring for fuel pumps?

Update replaced fuel pump fuel filter an pump seemed to work now pump wont come on i have power to the pump checks fuses maybe bad fuel pump relay?

Is your ground good? If you pulled the bed you probably disconnected one.

The tank was dropped i have good ground im getting power to the pump its just not coming on when the key is in the on position..

Check ECM B, but if you have power to the relay, then the relay itself is bad, or the wiring to the tank is bad

Relay was also replaced so sounds like a wiring issue? Or ground but im getting a ground to my pump

So after new fuel pump and gas tank still no fuel pump coming on when key is on. I am building oil pressure when cranking the truck I'm at loss for words sounds like a short? Anyone chime in with similar issues please
