Ive been working like a mad man out of town. So not much to update.
I got 80+ % of my harness sorted out. Id say a good 4hr (no interuptions)to get this far. I hope this works I have the Tranz, AC,TPS and Idle control To do. So far very simple.

Ok today 4/15 I test fitted the LS with Some minor setbacks. The mount adapters I made are not offset enough. I built 1" offset it looks like I need 2" + another 1/2" to make up with slotting the crossmember holes. The pressure Transducer or whatever it is on the 5.7 power steering pump I'm not sure what Im going to do, (I'm not sure if it is supported by the 411 or what it ties into yet). besides the damn donut on the collumn.
I plan on going to Hydroboost in phase II and wanted to use the New pump.
I finished up the day by priming the frame rails and rad support. And spraying some Kroil on the front brake line fittings, (the originals are pretty scaley and they look pretty easy to get to now). The new stainless ones arrived on Friday.

UPDATE 4/24/12
I started the wirnig 0411 Swap today, I have about 3 solid hours into it and it looks to be about 75% done. Thanks Lextech for all the info!!
I just hope I did it correctly and it works! The worst part is the Pinks & Blacks with all of the original splices burried in the looms (Why the hell would you do that??). I think I may have to extend some of the wires to get them run like I want, That should be easy once the engine is back in.

Now that looks better (another 3 hours into it) Hopefully my new engine frame mounts come in today! I'm dead in the water till then. Actualy reworking the 05 truck harness and the 97 harness was not bad at all, after I got the nerve to jump in and commit. (all subject to change with 1 turn of the key).

Set in and bolted up. Some things to note, As I am pluging everything in Some stuff is to short with the original 97 plugs
1) cam sensor, must extend plug 12"
2) TPS,Idle, must extend plugs 18"
3) Alt, must extend 18"
4) Front O2 sensors, must extend plugs 24" (due to headers)
5) 97 temp (guage wire) must extend 18"
6) Ac plugs, must extend 18"
This can change if wires are routed differant. I am trying to hide as much as I can.

2 minor mods to install the headers I am using.
1) The ear sticking out near the starter must be trimed back aprox 1"
2) the driver side frame must be dimpled in an egg shape 2" high and 3" long to clear tube.

Electric fans took some minor fitting to get in. trimmed the top off & notched the top coners to clear the 97 fan hold downs.
Looks like it came with it!
