Hello all I am new to this site but not new to Chevrolet's. I have owned many GM vehicles in my short life including my daily driven 06 Trailblazer SS 2wd. I am a technician for Criswell Chevrolet and love working on cars and trucks, especially GM's.

I found this Blazer a couple of weeks ago that was in great shape for the age. It is a 1993 Blazer 5 speed 4x4 with about 160K and around 60K on the Jasper motor. It was a project for this guy's son that just wasn't completed. The son and the father were not mechanically inclined but had thousands of dollars in repairs from them and the previous owners before them. The truck had not be driven since 2008. The son attempted to do some "Youtube" fixes and failed. I knew when I looked at it that the truck needed little to get it mobile again. So I got it towed to the house and got to work. Besides some normal GM odds and ends to fix, the truck is mobile and runs like a champ. I have to fix the parking brake and fix some kind of driveline vibration i have to narrow down, when its not so cold out haha.

Here are some pictures I took when the truck arrived and put in the driveway and one of when i went to go look at the truck. NOTE: I will be taking the broken fog lights and ugly running boards off in the near future.

I had no idea GM ever made these with a 3rd pedal? Any plans for a lift or performance mods?

Haha though a nice looking truck, I have no plans just yet of unloading this truck.

The plan is to start off simple. This truck has not been on the road for a few years so the plan is to get it back to safe operating condition. After that i would like to fix the small rust spots on the rear quarters. Actually I will have a friend of mine fix it because I am horrible at body work. haha

I probably will not make any performance mods to the truck. I have my TBSS that has all the go fast parts in it. Because of the rarity the most i would change is the exhaust.

Though in fantasy land where I had the funds; a nice 6.0L LQ swap with a 4" lift would be in order

Haha thanks. I want to keep mine also but a 5 speed full size 2 door would change my mind rather quick. Nice find man!

Wow, didn't know they put a 5 speed behind a 350 in a half ton, and they put it in a blazer!?! I have a new truck on my dream 400's to own list now

I knew that these trucks existed but never had seen one. I tried to do as much research as I could and stumbled upon this website: https://www.gmheritagecenter.com/

I found a pdf of the original new car sales brochure for the managers that would do inventory order. What I found interesting is GM projected that only 4% of full size blazer sales would come with the manual transmission.
