Greg I totally agree if he wanted to put the money into new wheels and tires I was simply offering the cheapest most effective senario(sp?), b/c im cheap

I know, and my idea may not be the cheapest out there, but it is the most logical. And sometimes doing it right, means spending a few more bucks.

While we are on the subject, i guess i will just jack this thread. I've been pondering replacement of my rear end, 99 2dr tahoe, 10 bolt 5 lug junk, I want a 14 bolt posi with 411s or 456s. I was thinking i could go to a junk yark and find a 1 ton 14 semi float out of a 2wd and change the axles and drums, what do you guys think. Any suggestions and/or complications with doing this?
