255/85 16's

whats the deal with 255/85 16's? basicly i have 2 decent ones and i need to get 2 new ones but they seem to be hard to find and more expensive. should i just run 285/75 and eventually change to all four that size? from what i understand there wont be too much of a size difference from the two.

Thats not a usual size, so id run 285's on the back then the other ones on the front until you can get all 4 285s

cool website. thanks for the info ill go ahead and do the 285's. is there a reason people get the 255/85's? i noticed there mostly only mud terain tires.

Not as wide as the 285's so their better in the mud. they arent so wide so it doesnt sit ontop of the mud, it sinks in and grabs. they look like pizza cutters though.
