diesel transmission? :p

A lot of guys run 315 or 35" tires with 4.10 and 3.73, heck, some run them on 3.42's. Not recommended, but believe me, it has been done by a lot of guys.
No But it doesnt take long at all to get right up to cruising speed with the torque :p

I've driven diesels- they're cool and all, but as far as stock speed goes I prefer the zip of the 5.7 For a daily driver a 5.7 would actually handle oversize tires much better than the 6.5

I'd still like a duramax or a 6.5 though, haha

You'd want to be geared low with a 6.5 and big tires. I'm a 6.5 fan, but they need to be geared up just right or else you will need a coffee break accelerating from 0-60. That goes for any engine, of course, but I don't think running 35s, 3.42s and a 6.5 would be a good speed combo...or a good anything combo for that matter.

In my opinion

Oh I'm not saying It'd be Ideal. I just put 33's on mine and only Difference I notice Is merging onto the Highway. From a stop it feels the same as with the stockers.
