Heres my 1992 Silverado long bed extended cab thought it was pretty neat never seen one before bought it 6 Months ago for 850 bucks. I'd imagine what a crew cab long bed would be like. It's got a 350 ported TPI heads with double over valve springs and valve guides cut down. "stage 3" 480/480 lift RV cam. Hardened steel pushrods. 1.5 steel rocker rollers(I don't like the aluminum ones) comp cam "race lifters" 454 injectors and computer chip and TPI WALBORO 255 fuel pump.700R4 with a reprogram kit. power to weight ratio it was making 427 torque 267 at 5200 rpm. This is no race truck by any means just a more than stock reliable hauler.

Welcome,

My first 400 was a '92 C1500 longbed extended cab, slammed, it made it look even longer.

Looks like you got a great deal. Got some crusty parts to handle but the nice seats and door panels alone were worth what you paid!! The rest of the truck is a bonus.

Welcome to the forum, and to GMT 400 trucks. Sometimes they can be frustrating, but they're a good design in most respects (and better than new trucks in my opinion!).
I have a '99 Suburban and a '97 crew cab long bed (it's loooong, see picture). This was at my local wrecking yard on discount day, getting 400 parts.

Oh yeah my man. Definitely worth 850. Second truck first was an 88 short bed single cab try and find pics of that later.

Phewwww no kidding that those are Long almost need a CDL for that. Yeah Old Red had her ups and downs there at the start before I did everything to the motor and trans. Wiring harness in the rear. New tail gate latch. New heads. Cam. Injectors and chip. Just all the basics that kinda bothered me. But now she runs like a top. I mean too good to be true.plus it's got decent miles on it still. But I'm gonna do some more engine work to it as well.new vortec heads.either a Holley 670 TBI. Or a 850 double pumper haven't decided yet. Looking for around 350-370 power/weight ratio. Nothing too insane.

I have the same truck, but in the 2500 model. Ive had it for years, but searched a long time to fine this one. The last XCLB 1500 I found wasn't a 350, so I passed. Nice find.
