We'll call this one Project: Here we go, again.
As if I didn't have enough projects and parts strewn about...
I've been looking for a 1966 or 67 300 Sedan (Think work truck Chevelle) for a few years now. Looked at a few, wasn't thrilled by condition versus price. Happened to find this 66 a few months back, dickered with the seller off and on, as I wasn't in a hurry to go down to Tulsa, OK just to purchase a car. This 66 was originally priced at $1,650, too high for me, the super jew.
Was watching the seller slowly drop the price on Facebook marketplace, $1,500..... $1,300..... $1,000..... Finally hit him up again, told him i'd be down Wednesday the the 12th of July.
I was in town for some power plant outage related work in the area, so figured before I left KC i'd snag my trailer and head down.
Got down there, managed to work a deal at $800 for the car. It had to have been 103-104 degrees trying to get this car loaded. Quite miserable.
Now that the car was a done deal, decided it was time to start collecting a drivetrain, so I could get it through a KS Highway patrol vin inspection, to be titled as an antique.
