I have a 1995 1/2 ton Chevy with a 6 inch Rcx lift. I'm looking at a 1 ton front differential and rear swap but not sure if the 1 ton front differential will fit with the lift kit. Does anybody know if it will work or not?

From what I remember they are shaped differently, or atleast have differently orientated mounting ears. There was a write up/thread about a 1/2 to 3/4 ton front diff swap and it was a lot of work and a lot of trial error.. Just going by memory which is really not a strong point for me. Lol.

Do you know if I could leave the 1/2 ton front differential and run a 14 bolt rear?

Thats the only way your going to be able to go, the 8.5 and 9.25 front diffs are not interchangeable. I'm going to be doing this 14-bolt swap on my plow truck this summer.

454 SS trucks came factory with 14 bolt so you should be able to get it in there some kind of way

There are some light duty 2500 trucks out there with 6 lug front and rear. Whatever that's worth possibly a 14 bolt
