I have a 95 tbi 454 truck with a 4L80E.. Do I need an adapter for the trans? Factory 454 or LS torque converter? Has anyone gotten factory gauges/warning lights to operate properly? Does everyone use hydro boost or is there a way to maintain vacuum booster? The wiring to get the engine...

Auto Darkening Welding Helmets.. What do you have/Why do you like it?

I noticed that... Even my old miller elite wasn't suppose to be used for overhead (which was weird because I feel like that had the most coverage on top out of man different helmets. The SL I have is an awesome helmet and it is supposedly the lightest hood on the market, BUT it has a tiny...

Auto Darkening Welding Helmets.. What do you have/Why do you like it?

So my hood has gotten pretty beat up over the past 4 years of using it damn near everyday. I currently have the speedglas SL which is SUPER LIGHT, but has a rather small viewing area. I know alot of people on here do a fair share of fabricating/welding so I'm looking for opinions/reviews about...

So today I did the "ultimate TBI" mod to my truck and also tried the "quarter mod" to the fpr...Well after a test drive I decided it didnt make much of a difference and took the quarter out. My 88 Silverado. Project- Bag the truck lol.

Notch looks real good. Welding blanket will seem like a waste of money until you burn yourself good cause you never covered anything up... 3rd degree burns up my leg from welding over a leaking hydraulic cylinder on a front loader. Can't wait to see more progress

Sounds like a good idea going with the 4.88's then.. Right now I'm getting about 6mpg :hmm: Yeah the 35's do look a bit small but if I turn to full lock then I have about 1" of clearance from the bumper Thanks for the rpo code, I'll have to go check.

Thanks guys. I hear the 4.88's are better for the woods but this truck is a daily with more around town driving, with some highway and some off roading. What are your RPM's like down the highway? I hate how you'll be cruising down the highway with even the slightest incline or slightest...
