    I'd consider adding an inline filter to the low pressure line on the power steering pump. This would be the time to add a cooler too if you need it.

    You mileage shouldn't suffer in drive at those speeds. The increased RPM will require less throttle. That sounds like everything is working fine to me. The torque converter locks up at 45, so it makes sense that if you're staying right on the bottom limit as far as speed, OD and lockup go...

    6 Lug to 8 lug

    That swap wont work on a 4x4. You cant swap to 3/4ton suspension. Mounts are set up different. Only option is adapters for the front. You shouldn't have any alignment or balancing issues. Only down fall is that they will act as a spacer too, so you would need spacers or adapters in the back...

    changing ignition timing

    The est wire is alone. Its not part of a connector with multiple wires. You unplug the connector that is inline with the wire. Do a search for est if you're still having trouble to try and find a pic.

    Seems like a really high price for a 90. You should be able to get a similar 98 for under 3K maybe even closer to 2k. I'd pass for sure.
